It's over... Herbal incense has been federally banned

Well I think the incense/spice is over.It's now illegal federally in the USA and they are cracking down hard. You can still get it from some online stores and depending on where you live some locals are still carrying it if you want to take the risk, but I assume that's only temporary. My advice would be to just avoid it.

Scent:

To be honest I don't really remember what it smelled like. I think it was pretty plane.

Taste:

Down2Earth Climaxxx seems to be following the recent trend of not flavoring the potpourri. It does have little green dyed stems but it seems to just be food coloring.

Potency & Length of Effect:

I started out slow and a couple hits gave me a strong effect that lasted about a half hour, maybe a little longer. The downside though was that I seemed to build a high tolerance to it very quickly if you smoke too often.

Taste: 7/10 - Nothing special but not bad

White Spice Original - Exotic Potpourri Review [8/10]

White Spice exotic potpourri came in the tin pictured above, which was a little different. I got the original, no special scents. The tin above held 3 grams.

Smell:

Pretty bland, kind of a dried plant type of smell. I don't think there's any added scents.

Taste:

The taste wasn't good or bad, like most incense. This was original so I didn't expect much here.

Potency & Length of Effect:

White Spice potpourri is good. A few hits will give you a strong effect that lasts about 30-40 minutes. It gave me cotton mouth too. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

Fly High FIRE 15x Potpourri Herbal incense Review [8/10] - Kiwi-Strawberry & Blueberry

Fly High FIRE 15x is a decent product that most incense users will like. I bought 2, 5g jars that came both came a little light. One weighed 4.4g and the other 4.2g. The incense is also pretty fluffy but it has a nice effect that makes up for it. Overall it's a nice blend that I would recommend.

Smell:

I got the kiwi strawberry flavor first and it has a very fruity smell. It's OK but nothing great. The blueberry smelled like you'd expect it too and was pretty good.

Taste:

Kiwi-Strawberry: The taste was a little different at first but it's not bad, nothing special here either though.
Blueberry: Better than the kiwi-strawberry flavor was. It tasted like most other blueberry blends.

Potency & Length of Effect:

Fly High FIRE 15x is decently potent and has an effect that lasts up to 90 mins. It comes on strong at first but within the first 30 minutes it drops down to a good buzz and stays there for a while. Overall it has one of the better effects compared to other incense.

Kiwi-Strawberry:

Smell: 6.5/10

Taste: 7/10

Potency: 7.5/10

Blueberry:

Smell: 7.5/10

Primo Herbal Sachet Review - Primo Herbal Incense Review [7/10]

Another Primo product but it's not from the same manufacturer as the other Primo products on this site. I was told this was made by the Cloud 9 company. No surprise there though, as this was very similar to Cloud 9's Mad Hatter, but a little less potent.

Smell:

Just like Cloud 9 Mad Hatter. A minty smell.

Taste:

As far as I know there isn't any other flavors. The bag I got was a little harsh with a menthol like taste. Not too bad though.

Potency & Length of Effect:

Primo's effect was a medium level head high that lasted about 30 mins.

Zombie Matter Ultra Herbal Incense Review - Acid Rain

Zombie Matter Ultra came to me highly recommended by a few people. Maybe I got a bad jar, but this stuff was a let down. I paid $10 for a gram at a local head shop.

Smell:

I have no idea how to describe this smell, it's odd. I've smelled it before but I can't place what it is. Personally I didn' like it and neither did the person I was with.

Taste:

The flavor I got was Acid Rain and it tastes like it smells, but worse, which isn't good. It was pretty harsh and was one of worst tasting incense that I've had. It also left an aftertaste.

Potency & Length of Effect:

Zombie Matter's effect was a pretty mellow body high that lasted about 20 mins. It comes on at its strongest at first but it quickly tapers off after that. Pretty weak.

Brainfreeze Potpourri Review - Blueberry Thrill - Joosy Fruit - Chronic Hypnotic - Groovy Grape

Brainfreeze Potpourri is a good product that should satisfy any smoker. It has a good strong effect that lasts about 45 mins.

Smell:

I had 4 different kinds. Blueberry Thrill which was basically your typical blueberry smell, Chronic Hypnotic which was the typical hypnotic smell with a twist, Joosy Fruit which actually smells like Juicy Fruit gum and Groovy Grape which smelled exactly like that old tape gum grape flavor.

Taste:

All 4 pretty much tasted similar to their smell, with the grape, blueberry and joosy fruit having the most flavor. Not harsh at all and pretty smooth with a slight aftertaste of whatever flavor you are trying.

Potency & Length of Effect:

Brainfreeze potpourri is pretty potent, a few hits and you'll feel it good.  It was a very smooth high that was strong but not too intense. The effect lasted for around 45 minutes in total, coming on strong at first and slowly tapering off. If you smoke enough, you can get pretty baked though.

I picked up another small bag of this stuff earlier this week since it's come back around my area and to my surprise, nothing had changed! It's still the same great product. Brainfreeze remains one of the better incense available right now.
